Bosch releases new version of its Planning Software for Fire Detection Systems
The easy-to-use program creates a complete tender and estimates prices. It also enables the user to precisely design the fire detection system including allocation of peripherals on different loops in accordance with the actual topology. With a complete plausibility check, it ensures that every project detail is considered. The software is particularly popular due to its generic terminology and intuitive navigation, which allows use with virtually no training.
“When updating this planning software, we worked very closely with consultants to make sure we design a tool that’s tailored to their needs”, says Jan von Rosenstiel at Bosch Security Systems. “This product is meant to be from planners for planners”.
Not only has the entire look and feel been revised for the software’s new version, but also the customization concept has been majorly enhanced: The update allows the user to extend and manage his reference building types and project data bank even more comfortably. The administration of customer price lists, project specific products or cable types got majorly simplified. An accurate planning for conventional periphery, including line length and control lines, is now possible. For smoke aspiration systems, the software completes pipes and accessories in accordance with the selected sensitivity class and installation type. Overall, Bosch improved the performance of its planning software by about 30 percent.
The software helps planning fire detection systems that comply with EN54-13 and VdS 3536 for uninterrupted alerts.
